She received the 2018 Nobel Prize for Literature (awarded belatedly in 2019), lauded for her “narrative imagination that with encyclopedic passion represents the crossing of boundaries as a form of life.”
Olga Nawoja Tokarczuk (rođena 29. siječnja 1962.) poljska je književnica, aktivistica i intelektualka koja je u Poljskoj opisana kao jedna od komercijalno najuspješnijih i od kritike najprepoznatijih autorica njezine generacije.
Olga Tokarczuk obtuvo el Nobel «por una imaginación narrativa que con pasión enciclopédica representa el cruce de fronteras como una forma de vida». Se trata de la segunda escritora polaca que recibe el Nobel de Literatura (la primera fue la poeta Wislawa Szymborska, en 1996) y la decimoquinta mujer en la historia del premio.
