스탠 리(Stan Lee)는 필명이며 본명은 스탠리 마틴 리버(Stanley Martin Lieber)다. 이 필명은 1930년대 당시 만화의 사회적 지위가 낮았기에 적당히 만화 그리다 본명 들고 소설로 나갈 생각이었기에 사용했던 것이다.
