Both Sides Now. All-Star Tribute To Joni Mitchell. April 6, 2000. Joni attended as various musicians paid tribute to her and her music. Among the performers were Cyndi Lauper, James Taylor, Cassandra Wilson, Richard Thompson, Shawn Colvin and Elton John. Joni also performed accompanied by a full orchestra.
Mitchell endorsed the sentiment and decided to include "A Case Of You" to mark the halfway point in her song cycle, as love is beginning to turn bittersweet, and "Both Sides Now" (with the comma dropped from its original 1969 title) as its almost Zen-like philosophical conclusion.

(However, a recording of Mitchell singing the song live in Philadelphia in 1966 was released in 2014.)
