Choral Scholarships at Trinity College combine the singing of weekly services in the Chapel with an exciting schedule of recordings, concerts and international tours outside term. The primary duty of a Choral Scholar during term is to sing at the three services of Choral Evensong that take place each week, together with occasional special services.
In respect of earlier recordings this addition is no less notable for the quality of its instrumentalists or for the classy line-up of soloists. But, in its forty or so young voices from Trinity College, the luxury is having one of the finest collegiate choirs around and which, under Stephen Layton’s meticulous preparation, produces an exceptionally refined quality.

Since 2001, the Old Royal Naval College Trinity Laban Choir has provided outstanding sacred music for the Chapel. 23 de mar. de 2024 · Joined by period instrument ensemble Charivari Agréable and a cast of soloists from the Old Royal Naval College Trinity Laban Chapel Choir, this promises to be a very special occasion. Bach composed his setting of the St John Passion in 1724 for the Nikolaikirche in Leipzig, setting it in German (rather than Latin) so that the narrative would have immediate impact for those listening.
