  2. Christ Church Library. Our magnificent 18th-century library, one of the largest in Oxford, aims to supply everything undergraduates need for their courses. It's open from 8am to 1am during term time and from 9am to 5pm during vacations. There's also a specialised Law library that's open 24/7 via fob access (for Christ Church Law students only).

First called Mission School, then Christ Church School, it grew into a college affiliated first to the Calcutta University in 1866, then to the Allahabad University in 1892, later to the Agra University in 1927, and last, to the Kanpur University (now the C.S.J.M. University) in 1966.

At the far end, the founder of Christ Church, Henry VIII, is portrayed. The table at the far end of the Hall is known as High Table and it is here that senior members of the college dine.

The School was registered under the name of Christ Church McConoghey School Society, Lucknow under the societies Registration Act XXI of 1860 and governed by the Diocese of Lucknow C.N.I. having its head office at 25 M.G. Road, Allahabad.
