Choir members can be found directing plays, playing sports, performing in operas or close harmony groups, giving solo recitals and much more besides. Trinity has a thriving College music scene and excellent music facilities – Trinity College Music Society organises around 30 concerts a term.
On Saturday the 13th of August, the Trinity College Choir once again took a lucky audience of musicophiles on a musical journey of reminding and minding their music, through time and places. The College’s choral tradition dates back to the all-male choir of the fourteenth century, when former Chapel Royal choristers studied in King’s Hall which later became part of Trinity College. Directors of Music have included Charles Villiers Stanford, Alan Gray, Raymond Leppard and Richard Marlow.
