Oliver Twist; or The Parish Boy's Progress' (Oliverio Twist en algunas raras ediciones en español) [1] es la segunda novela del autor inglés Charles Dickens. Se publicó originalmente como novela por entregas de aparición mensual (aproximadamente) [ 2 ] en la revista Bentley's Miscellany , dirigida por el propio Dickens, entre febrero de 1837 y abril de 1839.

Oliver was alone in the world. He was an orphan1. No one loved him. When Oliver was small he lived in an orphanage2 with other orphans. He and the other children had very little food and very little love. Many of the children died because they were cold or hungry. Oliver survived3 but he was small and thin. His face was very white.
