4. Roland Calvert Cubitt. The fourth Cubitt son, Roland was born in London on 26th January 1899 and, after the deaths of his three elder brothers, became the 3rd Baron Ashcombe on the death of his father Henry in 1947. Roland was baptised at All Saints Ennismore Gardens, Knightsbridge on 6th March 1899, the family address being 20 Princes Gate.

28 de ene. de 2014 · A fourth brother, Roland Calvert Cubitt, (26 Jan 1899 - 28 October 1962) also went to Eton and Sandhurst in 1917 and appears to have been commissioned into the Coldstream Guards but on passing out was too young to be deployed overseas. According to his first wife's later memoir he was awaiting his posting to France at the time of the Armistice.
