List of countries and dependencies by population. This is a list of countries and dependent territories by population. It includes sovereign states, inhabited dependent territories and, in some cases, constituent countries of sovereign states, with inclusion within the list being primarily based on the ISO standard ISO 3166-1.

A country's gross domestic product (GDP) at purchasing power parity (PPP) per capita is the PPP value of all final goods and services produced within an economy in a given year, divided by the average (or mid-year) population for the same year. This is similar to nominal GDP per capita but adjusted for the cost of living in each country.
Does the Russian area include the Crimean peninsula or does the Ukraine have it on this list. Also, how do we define who has the area. Obviously if you are going to try to visit Sevastopol68.149.156.139 14:48, 30 March 2015 (UTC), you are effectively going to need a Russian visa, regardless of whether you believe you should only need to meet the Ukrainian requirements for entry.
A more acceptable title would be "List of countries by population" (just get rid of the word "dependencies"), but I reckon the title format should align with other similar articles in Wikipedia, such as "List of sovereign states and dependencies by area," so a title called "List of sovereign states and dependencies by population" should be considered as the better choice here.
