On 27 August 1945, her body was transferred and placed inside a joint tomb, alongside her husband, in St Mildred's Church, Whippingham. Beatrice's final wish, to be buried with her husband on the island most familiar to her, was fulfilled in a private service at Whippingham attended only by her son, the Marquess of Carisbrooke, and his wife.
30 de ene. de 2010 · Whippingham Church is one of a tiny band of small village churches which have become closely linked with neighbouring Royal residences and therefore have a very great many beautiful, interesting and historical features. St. Mildred's Church in the Isle of Wight is surely an outstanding example of this little group.
18 de sept. de 2023 · St Mildred’s, Whippingham, will have it’s 11.15 service followed by teas and coffees in the Church Centre. St Mildred’s Church ( Queen Victoria’s ) is NOW OPEN TO VISITORS ON MONDAYS, TUESDAYS, WEDNESDAYS and THURSDAYS from 10am until 3.45pm UNTIL 31st Oct 2024.

Upon entering Whippingham village look out for a wooden bus shelter on the left hand side, at the junction of a turning on the left onto Beatrice Avenue. Take this turning signposted for the church in brown signage and follow it all the way to the church, the coffee shop is alongside the church. OS SZ511935. Opening Times
