In my opinion, it's inconsistent and, thus, not so good. The split William I--Wilhelm II is explained in that Wikipedia use is mostly William I and Wilhelm II (a consequence of WW1 where English use wanted to stress "German Enemy"). In my opinion, one should leave people their proper name, even monarchs. Google does.
