Windsor Castle. (1804 packet) Windsor Castle was launched at Yarmouth in 1804. She spent her entire 11-year career as a Falmouth packet, primarily on the Falmouth–Halifax–New York–Halifax–Falmouth route and the Falmouth– Leeward Islands –Falmouth route. She also sailed on some other voyages.
Construction and design. Originally designed for the Union-Castle Line in 1913, she was ordered from Harland & Wolff but her construction was held up by the First World War. [1] The continuation of the war until late 1918 led Harland & Wolff to subcontract her building to John Brown & Company. Windsor Castle was not completed until 1922.
The Windsor Castle is a Grade II listed public house at 114 Campden Hill Road near Holland Park, London. [1] Located on the corner of Campden Hill Road and Peel Street, the pub was built in about 1826 for the Chiswick brewers Douglas and Henry Thompson, on land rented on a 99-year lease from landowner John Ward. The architect is unknown. [1]
