  1. Magdalene College does not routinely ask applicants for Modern Languages to take the Advanced Extension Awards. Minimum offer levels are A*AA at A-level or 41-42 in the IB overall, with 7,7,6 at Higher Level , though each offer is individually determined and occasional variations will occur.

The College boasts two other Fellows in Mathematics, Prof Stephen Eglen (with research interests in computing and neuroscience), Dr Sergio Bacallado (working in Statistics and Probability), and two College Lecturers, one for pure and one for applied teaching. College Fellows serve as Directors of Studies for different years of the course.

The exhibition will draw on material held in the Magdalene College Archive to reflect on the life and career of George Mallory. Starting by focusing on his time at Magdalene and covering his academic interests, his sporting achievements and his social and cultural pursuits.

Magdalene Fellows and PhD students will be leading online Subject Taster sessions on a variety of subjects available to study at the University of Cambridge. The sessions are for Years 11 and 12 (or equivalent) students. Students from other year groups are welcome but session content is aimed at GCSE/A Level.

The sessions covered crucial aspects such as choosing a course and College, identifying super-curricular activities to include, writing an impactful personal statement, and introductions to admissions tests and interviews.
