Adrian saw the fight, as well, and didn't want her husband to get hurt, so she tried to prevent him from going. Rocky was dismayed by her speech, but didn't back out. 8.
Both Rocky IV and V could learn something from each other. The tried and true Rocky “formula” that IV does well, and some of the deeper family elements of V that I, II, and III were able to pull off pretty well. Maybe they should have been one movie together. Or, better yet, one continuous story of part one and two together.
