I think the Expanse novels were better written, and did a great job even though they spanned decades. Dresden Files *is* my favorite Urban Fantasy series; I've read several and found most of them lacking in comparison. But I don't think it's "the best series ever" or anything like that.

I haven't found a different legal alternative yet. I got some free credits from Audible via my Amazon prime account, do you have Amazon? I've tried those but they seem to be blocked in the Netherlands or require a credit card (which not everyone has here). I haven't found a different….
