All we know from her early youth is that she was taught to read and write, as well as singing, dance and embroidery. Around 1604 she met False Dmitriy I, a man who pretended to be the son of Ivan the Terrible, and agreed to marry him.

  3. Marina Mniszech or Marina Mnishek was a Polish noblewoman who was the tsaritsa of all Russia in May 1606 as the wife of False Dmitry I during the Time of Troubles. Following his death, she later married another imposter to the throne, False Dmitry II. A devout Catholic, she hoped to convert Russia's population to Catholicism.
