Their eldest son succeeded his mother as 3rd Earl of Dysart and in 1680 married Grace, daughter and co-heir of Sir Thomas Wilbraham, 3rd Bt, of Woodhey (Cheshire), through whom extensive estates in north and south Cheshire passed to the Tollemache family. On the death of the 6th Earl without issue in 1821 the family property was divided.

Lionel Tollemache, 4th Earl of Dysart. Lionel Tollemache was born 30 January 1648/49 at Helmingham, Suffolk, the eldest surviving son of Sir Lionel Tollemache, 3rd Baronet of Helmingham, and his wife, Elizabeth Murray, Countess of Dysart. [1] He was styled as Lord Huntingtower from 1651 or about 1654 [2] as heir to his mother.
