The Dalls were divorced July 30, 1934. Anna married Clarence John Boettiger on January 18, 1935. Their son, John Roosevelt Boettiger, was born March 30, 1939. From December 1936 to September 1943, Anna was an associate editor and columnist of the Seattle Post-Intelligencer. Her husband was the editor of this Hearst publication.
