First bursting into mainstream consciousness as the mop-top guitarists for The Easybeats in the mid ’60s, Harry Vanda and George Young would later go on to forge one of the most formidable musical partnerships in history.

The writing partnership, forever enshrined now as ‘Vanda & Young’, kicked off in the mid-Sixties, spawning hits for the Easybeats including “Friday on My Mind”, which reached Number One in Australia in 1966.
