4 de feb. de 2024 · Ingegerd Olofsdotter (1001 – 10 February 1050) was the daughter of Swedish King Olof Skötkonung and Estrid of the Obotrites. She was born in Sigtuna, Sweden, and was engaged to be married to Norwegian King Olaf II, but when Sweden and Norway got into a feud, Swedish King Olof Skötkonung wouldn't allow for the marriage to happen.
4 de ene. de 2023 · In 1016, Olav II, the King of Norway, expressed that he would be interested in marrying Ingegerd. Ingegerd agreed to this and was actually in favour of this marriage. Her father, however, not so much. Sweden and Norway had been at odds for a while. In 1018, the nobleman, Ragnvald, presented the marriage proposal of Ingegerd and Olav to King Olof.
