Hace 5 días · Franz Liszt (born October 22, 1811, Doborján, kingdom of Hungary, Austrian Empire [now Raiding, Austria]—died July 31, 1886, Bayreuth, Germany) was a Hungarian piano virtuoso and composer. Among his many notable compositions are his 12 symphonic poems, two (completed) piano concerti, several sacred choral works, and a great variety of solo piano pieces.
Franz Liszt destacó por la originalidad de sus composiciones y la técnica pianística que desarrolló. Entre 1839 y 1847 realizó giras por Europa y consiguió una fama sin precedentes. En 1847 abandonó su carrera como virtuoso y solo en contadas ocasiones volvió a tocar en público.
