June Christy, (geboren als Shirley Luster) (Springfield (Illinois), 20 november 1925 – Sherman Oaks, 21 juni 1990) was een Amerikaanse jazzzangeres, die actief was in de cooljazz. Ze werd bekend door haar werk bij het orkest van Stan Kenton en haar succesvolle album Something Cool .
Christy suffered from alcoholism in her later career, recording her next-to-last album in 1965 and semi-retiring in 1969. She occasionally performed during the 1970s and 1980s, reuniting with Kenton one last time in 1972. She made her last album in 1977. June Christy died from kidney failure in 1990 at age 64. Notes

June Christy. American jazz/big band singer. Born November 20, 1925, Springfield, Illinois, USA. Died June 21, 1990, Sherman Oaks, California, USA. Married to saxophonist/oboist Bob Cooper (1946 -June 21, 1990, her death). She was known for her silky smooth vocals, and replaced Anita O'Day in Stan Kenton 's orchestra c. 1945.
