William Pitt el Viejo (Londres, 1708 - Hayes, 1778) Político británico que desempeñó un importante papel en la victoria sobre Francia en la guerra de los Siete Años (1756-1763). He hailed from political stock on both sides, with his father serving as Prime Minister of Great Britain from 1766-68 and his maternal uncle, George Grenville, serving as Prime Minister from 1806-7.
