21 de oct. de 2019 · John Conroy was born on 21 October 1786 as the son of John Ponsonby Conroy, Esq., and Margaret Wilson in Wales. Both his parents were Irish, and he was one of six siblings. He entered the army at the age of 17, but he was not quite as successful as he might have hoped. His only success was marrying the daughter of his general.
1 de ene. de 1995 · On his deathbed in 1820 Queen Victoria's father, the Duke of Kent, left his widow and baby daughter in the care of his dashing aide-de-camp Captain John Conroy. A decade later Sir John Conroy, as he then was, appeared as a knight in shining armour, totally in control of the Duchess of Kent's household and of Victoria.

30 de ene. de 2019 · Conroy and Elizabeth had six children together: Sir Edward Conroy, 2nd Baronet (6 December 1809 – 3 November 1869), married Lady Alicia Parsons (d. 1885), daughter of Laurence Parsons, 2nd Earl of Rosse. They were the parents of the analytical chemist Sir John Conroy, 3rd Baronet. Elizabeth Jane Conroy (1811–1855).
John Michael Conroy (December 14, 1920 – December 5, 1979) was an American aviator and later businessman, whose company Aero Spacelines developed the Pregnant Guppy, Super Guppy, and Mini Guppy cargo aircraft. He later founded Conroy Aircraft and Specialized Aircraft in Santa Barbara, California. He died December 5, 1979, of colon cancer.
