27 de jun. de 2018 · These two publications, together with the exhibition May Morris: Art & Life, held at the William Morris Gallery, London, from October 2017 to January 2018, mark a major advance in giving due credit to a British woman designer and maker of considerable distinction and in the scholarship of particular aspects of the British Arts and Crafts Movement.

A Hammersmith resident from 1878 to 1920s, she was a lecturer, writer, editor, accomplished designer and jeweller, but it is her work as an embroiderer that is today considered her greatest achievement.
