Antoine-Jean Gros, né à Paris le 16 mars 1771 et mort le 25 juin 1835 à Meudon, est un peintre français néoclassique et préromantique.
Antoine-Jean, barón Gros, fue un pintor francés y miembro de la nobleza. Su pintura inicialmente neoclásica se acercó luego al romanticismo atraído por su fuerza y expresividad dramática. Su maestro fue el pintor y amigo Jacques-Louis David. Es conocido por sus pinturas históricas en las que Napoleón aparece frecuentemente como protagonista.

Antoine-Jean Gros, titled as Baron Gros in 1824, was a French painter. His work was in the genres of history and neoclassical painting. Gros studied under Jacques-Louis David in Paris and began an independent artistic career during the French Revolution. Forced to leave France, he moved to Genoa and witnessed the nearby Battle of Arcole (1796).
