  7. Abstract. In this chapter I discuss Marie Jahoda’s classic study, Current Concepts of Positive Mental Health, published in 1958. The book is a summary of most of the views on mental health found in the relevant literature at the time, and it is therefore a great source when looking for different defining characteristics of mental health.
