The History of the Gotham Typeface. For as long as I’ve been noticing letters, I’ve been obsessed with a species of alphabet that’s forthright, unassuming, and confident — and whose style no font had ever captured. I desperately wanted to summon these letters from my keyboard, which is how I became a typeface designer.
