Official name of the church is Santa Maria Delle Piante, which literally translates to St Mary of the Soles of the Feet. One may never know if this was truly the church where Saint Peter met Jesus Christ as he fled from Rome to escape martyrdom, however it is an important location for people of the Catholic and Christian faith.
