As well as an artist in his own right, the superb Spanish multi-instrumentalist Joan Chamorro, is the founder and director of the incredible Sant Andreu Jazz Band, a Jazz youth band based in Barcelona. But this is no ordinary youth band.
Biografía Carrera artística. Se inició como trombonista bajo la influencia de una familia de músicos. Más adelante estudió en el instituto IEA Oriol Martorell y entró en la Sant Andreu Jazz Band, dirigida por Joan Chamorro; en ésta también comenzó a cantar junto a Andrea Motis, Magalí Datzira y Eva Fernandez.
La Sant Andreu Jazz Band es una banda de música de jazz de la ciudad de Barcelona, formada por jóvenes (la mayoría entre 7 y 20 años) bajo la dirección musical de Joan Chamorro. In 2010, at the age of fifteen, she recorded an album of jazz standards, Joan Chamorro Presents Andrea Motis. Her albums include Live at Jamboree and Feeling Good (2014). She recorded Feeling Good with her mentor, Joan Chamorro, bassist and leader of the Sant Andreu Jazz Band. She made her major label debut with Emotional Dance (Impulse!, 2017).
