Hace 1 día · 1985. 6 January – The first Screen Two broadcast takes place. 7 January – The BBC ends its experiment with afternoon broadcasting and from this date Ceefax pages are shown continuously on BBC2 between 9am and 5:25pm apart from when Daytime on Two is in season and when sporting events are being shown.

Television began as a public service which was free of advertising, which followed the first demonstration of a transmitted moving image in 1926.
