Hace 3 días · Die einstige Residenzstadt der Herzöge von Mecklenburg-Strelitz liegt im Süden von Mecklenburg-Vorpommern und entstand durch einen Gründungsaufruf des Herzogs Adolf Friedrich III. im Jahre 1733 nach erfolgter Verlegung seiner Residenz in das Jagdhaus Glieneke am Zierker See. Damit vollzog sich die letzte barocke Stadtgründung in Deutschland.
