He was posted to No. 1 Squadron at Tangmere on 18th August 1930. Charnock was cashiered by a court-martial on 12th December 1930 for a low-flying offence.

Hace 5 días · He entered the RAF College Cranwell in January 1935 as a Flight Cadet and graduated in December 1936 with a permanent commission. His first posting was to 74 Squadron at Horchurch in January 1937. He joined 79 Squadron on 22nd March 1937.
