Hace 4 días · Henry his son, third earl of Southampton, attainted in 1601 for his complicity in the plots of the earl of Essex, was condemned to imprisonment for life and the confiscation of his estates; but on the accession of James I he was released, restored to his possessions and the earldom of Southampton.
