Hace 4 días · Biography. Robert (II) de Bruce (Brus) was the second son of Robert (I) (d.1142), lord of Annandale, and his wife, Agnes, probable daughter of Geoffrey Bainard, sheriff of York. Upon his father's death, he inherited Annandale and Hartness in Durham. He had a brother, Adam (d.1143). Robert was perhaps born after 1120.

There they observed the translation of the remains of St Thomas of Canterbury on 7 July, marking the martyred saint's jubilee.
