Hace 3 días · Albert's funeral was held on 23 December 1861 at St George's Chapel, Windsor Castle. His body was temporarily entombed in the chapel's Royal Vault. A year after his death, his remains were deposited at the Royal Mausoleum, Frogmore, which remained incomplete until 1871.

Hace 5 días · St. George's chapel has a total length of 237 ft., and consists of a presbytery and quire of seven bays, with aisles extending a bay further east and connected by an ambulatory, a crossing with north and south transepts ending in half-octagon chapels, and a nave and aisles of seven bays with polygonal chapels flanking the west end.
