Reg. p. 14) that Benedict was one of the monks who went to Rome to obtain the papal conf. of 21 Jan. 1156 (printed in PUE II no. 90) and that he may have d. in Italy, as his successor occ. c. 7 Dec. 1157 (below). 3. He is given this name in cart.

Hace 3 días · In 1923 the benefices and parishes were united; the patrons of Fifield Bavant, Thomas Thynne, marquess of Bath, and his successors, and the bishop of Salisbury had the right to present at alternate vacancies. In 1951 Henry Thynne, marquess of Bath, transferred his share of the patronage to the bishop.
