William's eldest son John ranged himself with the barons in the Civil War. He was summoned to the Parliament of 1265.
A manor later called BURBAGE DARELL, probably the other part of what Edric held in 1066, was held in 1242-3 as 1 knight's fee by Thomas Savage, allegedly of Walter Marshal, earl of Pembroke.
