Gil Bellows was the guy that was killed by the guard (Clancy Brown) in the Shawshank Redemption (1994) by order of the Warden, because the Warden wanted to keep Andy Dufresne in prison to maintain his corruption bookkeeping business. Gil was also the love interest of Ally McBeal in that TV show for three seasons.
