I heard a synth pop song today that I remember from sometime around 2008 or so. It has a similar sound to MGMT. It starts with a heavy synth hook and then gives way to mellow male vocals before returning to the initial hook. It was fairly popular and I remember it being in some movie or trailer from that time period. It’s been bugging me all day.
