As I have discussed before, Apocalypse Now is one of my favorite movies. I have seen all three cuts multiple times; in 2019 I even saw the Final Cut in IMAX. I just re-watched the theatrical cut, and I have two questions about the movie's ending: Did Kurtz release Willard specifically for Willard to kill him?
