Roberts’ fearsome crew did indeed capture four musicians from other ships, forcing these prisoners to play for their amusement.

Hace 4 días · Welsh pirate Bartholomew Roberts was never actually known as Black Bart (or "Barti Ddu" in Welsh) during his lifetime. The nickname reportedly arose in a poem by Welsh poet I.D. Hooson, due to Roberts' dark complexion. One of the most successful pirates, he was killed by grapeshot in battle.
