It began as a series of short films that originally ran from 1930 to 1969, along with its partner series Merrie Melodies, during the golden age of American animation. [1] [2] Following a revival in the late 1970s, new shorts were released as recently as 2014.

It's safe to say Bugs, Daffy, Porky and so many other Looney Tunes characters would not have become the cultural icons they have without the incredible voice talents of Mel Blanc. But he didn't become "the man of 1000 voices" by just performing the lead roles.
