In addition to the radical shift away from his more familiar acoustic sound in favour of a smoother, more luxurious American sound, the album is also entirely self-produced – the first time Cat had worked fully independently in this way.

It’s one of his best albums, with some gems. “Cat Keep it In” is my all-time favorite Cat Stevens song. It’s the only song I consider perfect in every way. “Sitting” and “Angelsea” are also two of my favorites.

The album will be released July 26 to streaming services in both standard and high resolution audio. It will also be released on vinyl for the first time since its original release, with two options: standard 180-gram black and limited-edition 180-gram blue, which comes with a 12-inch lyric card insert.
