  3. Hace 2 días · He entered RAF College Cranwell in January 1929 as a Flight Cadet. He graduated in December 1930 with a permanent commission and joined 54 Squadron at Hornchurch. In March 1932 Hogan was posted to the Fleet Air Arm at Leuchars.

In 1947 the main airfield site was purchased and developed by the English Electric Company. Two outlying parts of the Warton site became RAF Lytham and RAF Freckleton.

After the outbreak of war, cadets who had not completed their courses were enlisted in the regular RAF on 7th September 1939 as Airmen u/t Pilots and each given an airman number.
