It starred Meryl Streep and Robert Redford and was known for its beautiful cinematography. The movie won seven Academy Awards, including that for best picture.
For me, it's got to be either David Lean, who made The Bridge on the River Kwai, Lawrence of Arabia, and Doctor Zhivago back to back to back; or Francis Ford Coppola with The Godfather, The Conversation, and the Godfather II.
