Hace 2 días · Darnley, jealous of Mary’s intellectual achievements and her relationship with tutor David Rizzio, had him murdered. Rizzio was also Darnley’s lover. Mary was pregnant by Darnley, but their relationship had soured. In 1567 Darnley was murdered by a group of Scottish nobles led by James Bothwell at the house of Kirk o’Field near Edinburgh.
