To the same retreat Christine was followed by her young niece Maud, but she did not take the vows, and became the Queen of Henry I., being married at Martinmas, 1100. (fn. 4)

Hace 2 días · Stephen Baxter's review is the longest and most detailed to date, but, for me at least, it is instructive to read it in combination with earlier reviews by Emily Albu and John Palmer. All are complimentary on various aspects of the book - I am flattered that they consider it required reading for the period.
