Hace 3 días · It was sequestrated under the Commonwealth for the delinquency of Sir Edward, and bought from the treason trustees by Major John Wildman and Samuel Foxley. In 1653, however, Sir Edward Radclyffe compounded for the manor, and at his death in 1663 it came into the hands of his son and heir Francis.

Alexander Radcliffe of Leigh, who recorded a pedigree at the same visitation, in 1680 purchased Edward Raddiffe's estate in Radcliffe, which his descendants continue to hold.
