  2. Hace 5 días · From 1560 to 1638 the Crown leased out the manor for lives or terms of years. In 1560 Queen Elizabeth granted the manor for life to Anne Seymour, duchess of Somerset and widow of Protector Somerset, for £13 6s. 8d. a year and payment of the bailiffs and steward's wages.

In 1553 the church kept its silver chalice, but 17 oz. of silver were taken for the king. In 1783, besides the chalice, the church had some pewter vessels.
